Khalid Patel is a British writer and artist of Indian and Burmese heritage. Raised in a working-class Muslim culture, his background and experiences echo his multilayered storytelling, characterized by poetically charged prose, captivating dialogue and searing sociopolitical asides.
He is also the founder of Sev Inks, an independent publishing house of unconventional, challenging narratives. Through Sev Inks, he has helped publish stories exploring themes ranging from addiction and loneliness to feminism and mortality.
Retaining creative autonomy, Khalid Patel also releases his own works through Sev Inks, working with local or independent artisans and crafters whenever possible to produce them.
“This kid breaks some rules and he breaks them across people’s faces. Khalid Patel represents a new age in fiction. He examines traditional fiction and turns it on its head with technology and innovation.” – Eryk Pruitt, author of What We Reckon

Hello Khalid, it’s good to know that someone still owns their humanity. Thanks for the tweets. I’m not really big on social media though, I find that it gets me into trouble and sometimes you have to keep your nose clean or get overwhelmed. However, that said, keep on keeping on!!!
Thanks for following my tweets, Ingrid. Hope you manage to keep that nose clean!
